Every child has the right to receive proper education, including access to essential facilities and school supplies that support their learning activities.
Through its Community Development and Empowerment Program, with a strong focus on education, BMBBD provides support for children living in the communities surrounding its operational areas.
As part of this effort, the school bag distribution program was initiated to reflect the company’s social commitment to advancing education.
The program specifically targets elementary and kindergarten students across several areas in Tapin Regency, South Kalimantan.
This initiative aims to ease the financial burden on parents while also giving children a renewed sense of enthusiasm and motivation in pursuing their education.
The school bags were distributed directly in five different locations, in collaboration with local community leaders and village officials. Below is a summary of the activities at each location:
1. Kalumpang Village, Bungur Sub-district
As the first destination for the bag distribution program, representatives of the Kalumpang Village hope that this support can motivate students to be more enthusiastic about learning and encourage regular school attendance.
2. Rumintin Village, South Tapin Sub-district
A similar activity was carried out in Rumintin Village, with involvement from the school’s staff. The children were visibly excited to receive their new bags.
3. Sawang Village, South Tapin Sub-district
The school bag distribution was conducted smoothly and warmly in Sawang Village. School representatives expressed hope that this program would continue with other educational support in the future.
4. Tambarangan Village, South Tapin Sub-district
Tambarangan became the next distribution point. The recipients, particularly elementary school students, welcomed the initiative with great joy.
5. Harapan Masa Village, South Tapin Sub-district
Harapan Masa Village also received an allocation of free school bags through the program. The activity ran in an orderly manner, with active participation from teachers.
BMBBD hopes to bring renewed spirit to the children in communities surrounding its operational areas, while also demonstrating a genuine commitment to social development.
