Housing is one of the three basic human needs. A proper home can provide a sense of safety, comfort, and serve as a crucial foundation for a family’s growth and well-being.
That is why access to decent housing plays an essential role in improving the overall welfare of the community.
In pursuit of this goal, BMBBD once again carried out a home renovation (bedah rumah) program as part of its commitment to social development.
The program aims to help residents living in substandard housing conditions to obtain safer, healthier, and more comfortable homes.
This initiative focused on four key areas in Tapin Regency, South Kalimantan, with a total of 15 houses renovated.
The breakdown of the program implementation by location is as follows:
1. Kalumpang Village, Bungur Sub-district
A total of 2 houses were renovated in Kalumpang Village. The villagers expressed their gratitude, as their previously uninhabitable homes have now become livable and comfortable for their families.
2. Sawang Village, South Tapin Sub-district
Five houses in Sawang Village were selected for renovation. The process was carried out gradually, involving local labor and the active participation of surrounding residents.
This program also served as a means to strengthen the relationship between the company and the community.
3. Rumintin Village, South Tapin Sub-district
Five houses were also renovated in Rumintin Village. Beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the company’s support and attention. The renovated homes are now equipped with better and safer basic facilities.
4. Tambarangan Village, South Tapin Sub-district
In Tambarangan, 3 housing units received repair assistance. The community warmly welcomed the program, recognizing it as a meaningful initiative that helped ease the burden on low-income families.
